| dc.description.abstract | This survey‑based study investigates how the practice of Evidence‑Based Pharmacy (EBP) influences the quality of pharmaceutical care delivered in community and clinical pharmacy settings. The research assesses pharmacists’ knowledge, attitudes, and use of evidence‑based practices, and examines whether engaging with current clinical evidence leads to measurable improvements in patient‑centred care outcomes. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to practicing pharmacists, evaluating factors such as: Frequency of applying evidence from clinical guidelines and research studies in daily decision‑making Confidence in interpreting and using scientific evidence. Perceived barriers and facilitators to integrating evidence into practice Perceived effects on medication safety, therapeutic outcomes, and patient counselling Results indicate that pharmacists who regularly apply evidence‑based approaches are more likely to report enhanced quality of care, including: Improved medication therapy management and adherence counselling Greater ability to detect and prevent medication errors Stronger patient education and communication Increased professional satisfaction and confidence The study also identifies common barriers to implementing EBP, such as limited access to up‑to‑date clinical resources, time constraints, and lack of structured training. Recommendations highlight the need for continued professional development, access to evidence databases, and organisational support to promote wider adoption of evidence‑based practices among pharmacists. Overall, the study suggests that Evidence‑Based Pharmacy has a positive impact on the quality of pharmaceutical care, and that systematic integration of current best evidence into pharmacy practice can contribute to better patient outcomes and safer medication use. | en_US |
